There are so many times I want to ring people's necks who are bound and determined to minimize what I go through and look at me blankly and ask what I'm upset about (and these are medical professionals who should understand). They write in my record that I'm "anxious" as if I should think it's no big deal not to be able to care for myself anymore. They can't imagine why I'm in a wheelchair and ask how I got it (as if to say I shouldn't have it), and they ask me why I don't make jewelry anymore and then I have to explain for the 50th time that my fine motor coordination is so shot that I waste perfectly good wire just trying to wrap a simple loop on a pair of earrings and after trying 15 times in a row unsuccesfully and wasting the better part of a day I finally get it that it just won't work anymore. I wish THEY'D get it!Giftbearerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11698066439644185753noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5343428086984907297.post-90022181151919403862016-08-07T03:35:22.182-05:002016-08-07T03:35:22.182-05:00This is great! Thanks for sharing. I am so thankful that people share their stories as it helps me to be more aware and to learn. It's so easy to just assume for lack of knowledge about something. I think when we take the time to understand it helps everyone.
